Historic Villages
Bolgheri, Volterra, and Castagneto Carducci: near Donoratico, there are villages of medieval origin, with castles, ancient alleys and superb views. The Bolgheri Nature Reserve
The Bolgheri Nature Reserve is a WWF refuge covering an area of 500 hectares. It is home to numerous native animal species. During the summer months, it is possible to go trekking inside the oasis, even at night. You are sure to spot some storks, wild boar or fallow deer!
